CENSUS 2026-07-26 (Research Enrichment, date conflict resolution): DATE UPDATED to 1974-10-15. New source found: ArchiveGrid, cataloging the Museum of Performance and Design's KSAN tape collection, independently dates this same recording (Record Plant, Sausalito; Reel #439; ~1:04:56, matching the ~1:05:40 forum FLAC) to October 15, 1974. This is the same MPD/ArchiveGrid collection already used elsewhere in this archive as a trusted source (e.g. the Montrose Oct 27 1974 discovery row), i.e. not a new/untested source for this project. This outweighs the prior working date of Nov 10, 1974, which rested on a Guitars101 forum uploader's circumstantial reasoning (Sunday broadcast-slot pattern-matching plus recognizing the on-air DJ's voice) rather than an institutional tape catalog entry. The third candidate date, Oct 5 1974, remains unsupported by any source found and is treated as the least likely. Verification Status changed from Conflicting Sources to From Primary Source to reflect that the MPD tape catalog is the strongest evidence now in hand. NOT fully closed: Raechel Donahue's notebook (the project's usual definitive primary source for KSAN dates) has not been checked against this date and could still overrule it. If notebook evidence later confirms Nov 10 or Oct 5 instead, revert this date and Verification Status accordingly. CENSUS 2026-07-26 (duplicate merge): A second Recording row, 'Caravan — KSAN Live, 1975-10-15' (), was identified as a near-certain duplicate of this row — same day/month, one year off. Web research found no evidence Caravan toured the US at all in 1975 (their 1975 dates are all UK/Europe; their only 1970s US dates cluster around Oct-Nov 1974, the same tour as this recording). The 1975 row was almost certainly a year-transcription error, not a second Sausalito visit. Per Tom's approval, the 1975 row's unique field values (Studio Role, Ownership Era, Studio Provenance, Artist link to Caravan) were merged into this row, then the 1975 row was deleted.
