In May 1993, David Crosby and Shawn Colvin opened a new chapter in the Record Plant’s broadcast history. Their appearance launched KFOG’s Live From The Plant era, reviving a tradition that KSAN had established at the Sausalito studio two decades earlier. KFOG arranged the collaboration after learning that Crosby and Colvin admired each other’s work but had never performed together. Bill Evans and Rosalie Howarth co-hosted the broadcast, with guitarist Jeff Pevar joining Crosby and Colvin before a small studio audience. The broadcast became the starting point for a recurring KFOG series that would bring artists back to The Plant throughout the 1990s.
